We at Baptist Convention Convention of NC (BSCNC) are committed to protecting your privacy and providing a safe online experience with our site. Because we gather certain types of information about the users of this JobBoard services, we believe you should fully understand our information gathering and dissemination practices. This privacy statement discloses what information we gather, how we use it, and how to correct or change it.

Pastors/Ministers/Ministry-Related Positions
The JobBoard is solely devoted to ministry-related positions and ministry-related opportunities in cooperating churches and affiliated organizations of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina (“BSCNC”). The job postings of applicants is a gratuitous service to you and to cooperating churches and affiliated organizations of BSCNC. Any resume or posting distribution is not directed by BSCNC employees. BSCNC and its employees are in no way involved in the selection of Pastors or other positions posted on the JobBoard.

As an applicant, I acknowledge that BSCNC has no responsibility or input concerning any church or affiliated organization that contacts me concerning a position. I understand that I assume all responsibility for properly vetting the cooperating church or affiliated organization and its suitability for me to be employed by it. I acknowledge that BSCNC does not preform any vetting of the cooperating churches or affiliated organizations for purposes of suitability of my employment.

Church/Affiliated Organization
The Baptist State Convention of North Carolina (“BSCNC”) provides the JobBoard gratuitously as a service to the cooperating churches and affiliated organizations of BSCNC. There is no cost to a cooperating church or affiliated organization for use of the JobBoard to review information on applicants for ministry positions. Each church by use of the JobBoard acknowledges and understands that anyone is able to respond to a job posting. BSCNC does not officially or unofficially certify or approve any applicant responding to a posting or any information provided by them. Cooperating churches and affiliated organizations are autonomous entities and must determine for themselves the acceptability of their own employees, including chosen ministers and leaders. Each cooperating church and affiliated organization as an autonomous entity is solely responsible to confirm information supplied to them by the applicants through interviews, background checks, and other processes. BSCNC has not performed any background checks on any of the applicants responding to a job posting.

The Church/Affiliated Organization acknowledges and agrees that no applicant responding to a job posting has been officially or unofficially certified or approved by BSCNC. It further acknowledges and agrees that as an autonomous organization, it must determine for itself the qualifications of its own chosen ministers and leaders and it is solely responsible to conduct background checks, interviews and confirm references. BSCNC has no liability for incorrect information provided by any applicant in response to a job posting.

Contact Information
Our site's registration form requires you to enter contact information (such as your name and email address). We will not disclose any of your personal information to any outside parties except with your consent as described in the Personal History section below.

Personal History
You may store your personal information such as previous employers, education, and resume in our database. This stored information can be used by you to fill out applications for jobs posted on our site without ever having to retype the information. You will always have the option of changing your information for a particular job application before submitting it to a prospective employer.

Resume Search
Your information can also be used by our employer clients to find qualified job applicants through our searchable resume database. You have the option as to whether or not you want to allow your information to be searchable by employers.

Job Visits
We track number of times jobs posted on our site are displayed, but only in the aggregate. We do not track which individual users display a particular job.

IP Address
We may use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our servers, and to administer our Web site. We will not track any other information regarding your IP address.

Changing or Deleting Information
You may change any of your contact or personal information at anytime. You may also use the Your Account option to delete your registration information including your contact and personal information. You are always welcome to re-register with us at a later date.
