Minister of Youth Qualifications
The Minister of Youth for Carolina Memorial Baptist Church shall be required to adhere to the following:
1. He shall be an ordained, or willing to be ordained, minister, called by the church according to the Constitution and By-laws.
2. He shall live his life and lead his family accoriding to the Scriptures.
3. He shall work with the Senior Pastor to provide leadership and direction according to Southern Baptist biblical doctrine, CMBC's Constitution and By-laws and CMBC's Policy and Procedures Manual.
4. He shall be under the direct supervision of the Senior Pastor.
5. He shall meet regularly with the deacons of the church to convey his insights and ideas along with any problems he wishes to share.
Minister of Youth Responsibilities
The Minister of Youth is responsible to the Senior Pastor for the quality of the ministry, which involves the coordination and planning of programs and activities, the purpose of which will be to design and implement a program which disciples youth, ages 12 to 18, to becoming mature believers. He is charged with the following responsibilities:
1. Build relationships with our youth and their families.
2. Serve as a resopurce person for the youth ministry to the whole congregation.
3. Lead in recognizing and defining the needs of the youth program within the church and within the community.
4. Work to involve youth in the overall ministry of the church.
5. Lead and support youth workers.
6. Plan, conduct and evaluate special projects and events for youth ( inscluding summer camp and mission trip).
7. Serve as chairperson of the Youth Council as stated in the Policies and Procedures Manual.
8. Prepare and supervise budget line items to be used for youth.
9. Assist the Senior Pastor as needed (funerals, surgery visits, pulpit supply, communion, etc.).
