PURPOSE:
The purpose of the Guest Services Director is to glorify Jesus by warmly welcoming all who gather for worship. The ideal candidate will help ensure that our church environment is one in which guests feel comfortable as they arrive and are greeted, guided, and served by our team of volunteers. Overall, this candidate will lead volunteers to create an environment where life change happens. Our ultimate goal is to shepherd them into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. The role of Guest Services Director is critical to the health of our church.
QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will:
- Pursue a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and exhibit evidence of living a Spirit-filled life.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance to Brookstone.
- Promote a positive, ministry-minded, and healthy environment as a team player with pastor and staff as well as church leaders, members, guests, and the community at large.
- Possess a servant attitude and desire to serve the Lord through the local church.
- Relate well with all people in attitude and appearance.
- Be proficient in planning, organizing, and handling multiple, simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently with the ability to give attention to detail and accuracy while maintaining a professional, courteous manner.
- Exercise good judgment and positively influence others, including handling confrontations with poise and efficiency.
- Exhibit a high degree of integrity and strictly protect confidential information.
- Possess a thorough knowledge of the church by-laws, policies, procedures, and general church practices.
- Possess the skills necessary to perform the functions of the job and show the capacity to learn additional skills which the job may require.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Cast vision for excellence in Guest Services with an emphasis on welcoming, informing, and serving each guest on Sundays and for special events.
• Create a guest service culture by inviting, selecting, equipping, evaluating, coaching, and celebrating volunteers.
• Establish and implement quality standards for all Guest Service volunteers.
• Create a volunteer culture with a set of behaviors, terms, and values to ensure the optimal guest experience.
• Ensure consistency in all systems and procedures each Sunday.
• Regularly meet with Team Leaders and other volunteers to cast vision, continue training, and build relationships.
• Develop and maintain a recruitment plan and training strategy for new volunteers.
• Schedule regular times of training and vision casting for all volunteers.
• Developing key volunteers to become Team Leaders.
• Develop and manage departmental budget.
• Develop and maintain communication with other ministry team directors to ensure a seamless experience for our guests.

- Maintain a vital and growing relationship with the Lord through consistent time in the Word, prayer and regular worship attendance.
- Commit to EE training.
- Strive to maintain and protect biblical priorities in the home.
- Model the practice of wise stewardship.
- Seek to maintain accountability through participation in a relational environment.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
The Guest Services Director reports to the Next Steps Pastor.
SALARY:
A competitive salary wage commensurate with experience will be provided
