About Our Church:
Coats Baptist Church is a Bible-believing Southern Baptist congregation located in a fast-growing rural community. We are prayerfully seeking a Senior Pastor who is called by God to preach the Word, shepherd the flock, and lead our church in faithfulness to Christ and His mission. Our church affirms the Baptist Faith and Message (2000).
Key Responsibilities:
- Preach expository, Christ-centered sermons grounded in the inerrant Word of God.
- Provide spiritual leadership and pastoral care to the congregation.
- Lead in the development of discipleship, evangelism, and missions.
- Work with deacons and ministry leaders to guide the church in unity and purpose.
- Uphold and promote traditional Southern Baptist values and practices.
Qualifications:
- A clear testimony of salvation and a divine call to pastoral ministry.
- Agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message (2000).
- Seminary education from a Southern Baptist or like-minded institution (preferred).
- A heart for shepherding, a love for people, and a commitment to biblical truth.
- No desire to transform Coats Baptist Church to a reformed soteriology.
