Job Description

The Missions & Senior Ministries Pastor is responsible for executing the vision for local and global missions, and for leading the ministry of discipling senior adults.

Essential Functions

     Missions 

  • Enact and enable the vision of the Elders in discipleship, evangelism, and church planting
  • Plan, organize,  and lead short-term and long-term mission trips
  • Communicate mission opportunities to the church
  • Develop, oversee, and allocate Mission budget
  • Oversee Missions Committee; provide the Committee with requests from local ministries and missionaries seeking assistance
  • Develop relationships for ministry opportunities with international organizations and services
  • Develop relationships for ministry opportunities with local organizations and services
  • Recruit teams, train leaders & volunteers, and lead mission teams
  • Coordinate Disaster Relief and wheelchair ramp ministries
  • Maintain the Missions Outreach Building; including inventory, cleaning, and coordinating building access
  • Oversee the Rich Fork Mission House including managing all aspects of application, occupancy, and upkeep 

     Senior Adult Ministry

  • Enact and enable the vision of the Elders in all Senior Adult ministries and outreach
  • Serve as the primary resource for the spiritual and ministry needs of Senior Adults
  • Develop, oversee, and allocate Senior Adults budget
  • Provide benevolence needs
  • Recruit and train volunteers
  • Plan and coordinate events for Senior Adults within the church calendar. (Previous yearly calendars included but are not limited to several trips per year, an overnight trip, Senior Adult monthly luncheons or breakfast.)
