Minister of Music and Worship
Lillington Baptist Church is prayerfully receiving resumes for our future part-time Minister of Music and Worship. This individual will work 15-20 hours per week under the supervision of the Senior Pastor to oversee all aspects of the Worship Ministry. Our current Co-Worship Leaders are retiring after 38 years of faithful service.
* Musically trained and gifted follower of Christ who is lead by the Holy Spirit to fill a part-time position as Minister of Music and Worship
* Responsible for comprehensive music and worship ministry for all ages, selection of music, and planning services
* Will rehearse with adult choir and praise team to prepare for weekly worship and special services
* Work with various ages in the music ministry as well as various types of music (hymns, praise, contemporary, etc.)
* Supervise other music leaders in the church (such as keyboardist, instrumentalists, and vocalists)
* Oversee, approve, and schedule those who work with audio/visual/sound/slides/video
* Assist with music planning for special services (weddings, funerals, etc.)
* Supervise maintenance and repair of the musical instruments
* Comply with music and video copyright laws
* Store music and props
* Prepare music ministry budget
* Advertise worship and music information
* Attend staff meetings
* Recruit church members for worship and music ministry
