First Baptist Church of Dillon is seeking a dedicated and musically gifted individual to join our pastoral team as the Associate Pastor of Worship. This role is integral to meeting the spiritual needs of our church family through comprehensive worship and music ministry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Pastoral staff to address the church family's spiritual needs.
- Plan and lead the worship team and other special music (e.g. choir/ensembles, musicals, special events or services), to foster a culture of worship and spiritual engagement within the congregation.
- Oversee and coordinate children and youth music ministry.
- Recruit, train, and mentor worship team members, including vocalists, musicians, and technical volunteers.
- Serve under the leadership of the Pastor and support church missions and values.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- At least 2 years of experience leading worship or other music ministries.
- Have a working knowledge of music as it relates to various keys, tempos, and arrangements.
- Strong faith and commitment to the mission and values of First Baptist Church of Dillon.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well with others and with a team.
- Proficiency in playing an instrument (guitar, piano, etc.) and vocal leadership
- Experience with audio, video, and lighting equipment is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Worship Ministry, Theology, Music, or a related field (preferred but not required).
