Full-Time Associate Pastor
(Minister to students with a focus on Grades 6th-12th.)

Purpose: The purpose is to minister to the students of our church from birth through grade 12, and to administer, develop and implement student ministry program designed to meet the spiritual, social, and emotional needs of the students, leading them to spiritual commitments and disciplines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- This is a Full-Time Staff position.
- Must be able to:
- pass a federal background check
- pass an alcohol/drug test.
- This position will be open to a qualified applicant with a high school diploma and formal Biblical training completed or in process.
- Must be ordained or will be ordained by the church within 3 months of hire date.
- Will be required to join BCBC as a member when hired. This will also apply to the family, if applicable.
PRIMARY JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Lead all youth discipleship programs:
- Wednesday night Bible Study.
- Sunday School classes.
- Sunday evening discipleship training.
- Assist in recruitment of teachers and volunteers to help with activities and discipleship program.
- Coordinate with the Youth Committee.
- Meet with the Pastor as needed and attend all staff meetings.
- Participate in church visitation program by visiting the homes of church prospects/members with family youth members.
- Conduct activities outside of normal church functions including age-appropriate mission projects during the summer.
- Hold quarterly meetings with the parents of youth members.
- To involve them in the ministering to the youth.
- To discuss the needs and mutual involvement for both parents and youth.
- Serve as an assistant to the Senior Pastor in fulfilling any additional ministerial duties that may arise.
- Develop and submit a proposed budget for the Youth ministry and children’s ministry department in conjunction with the committee chairs.
ADDITIONAL SUPPORT FUNCTION:
- Work with the Pastor and children’s committee/coordinators to develop and execute the vision on BCBC’s children’s department.
- Provide counsel to all children’s committee/coordinators in planning, implementing, conducting, and evaluating all aspects of BCBC’s children’s ministries as well as helping recruit workers and leaders for all events and services.
- Conduct special training projects/classes as needed.
- Advise the use of program materials, supplies, equipment, and space by children’s groups.
- Assist in coordinating projects and weekly children’s activities including but not limited to, VBS, camps, retreats, AWANA, mission projects, backyard Bible clubs, Sunday School, nursery, outreach events and seasonal events along with the children’s committee/coordinators.
- Serve as ex-officio member of all children’s committees.
- Offer support as needed in all children’s activities and functions.
