Full-Time Children’s Pastor Position
Lee Park (www.leeparkchurch.org) is a large (1800-2k average attendance), growing SBC church in Monroe, NC. We also have a growing Christian school (Lee Park Prep MS and HS) on our campus, which will be starting an Elementary School in August 2025. We are seeking to hire a full-time Children’s Pastor, who would oversee ages Birth-5th grade, as well as be involved in our elementary school by speaking in chapels regularly and connecting with kids, teachers, and parents.
Ideally, we are looking for someone who has had formal education, training, and experience in leading a Kids Ministry. We desire this person to have great leadership and communication skills. The Children’s Pastor would set the vision for the ministry and help train and recruit volunteers. This would be our first Full-time Children’s Pastor, so we believe it is a very exciting time for someone to build upon a great framework/foundation that already exists for the ministry.
Our Children's Pastor should be a humble team player and understand the flexibility needed in working within church ministry and also in working with shared spaces that exist between church and school.
The Children’s Pastor would directly report to our Family Pastor and would directly oversee our Nursery director, our Preschool director, and our LP Kids (K-5th) assistants. Lee Park has several main events for kids/families each year that include, but are not limited to:: summer camp, VBS, a Fall Festival and a Spring Celebration. The Children’s Pastor would be the team leader of these events. Lee Park also has a large, year-round sports ministry for kids (LP Sports) which has its own director, so there would be great potential to connect with kids and their families here also.
Lee Park has monthly staff meetings that are attended by all of our staff. Regular office hours during school hours would be expected, but can be flexible with communication to your supervisor (Family Pastor).
Finally, our Children’s Pastor will be someone who loves Jesus, is called to lead and shepherd kids and their families, has a heart for discipleship and evangelism, is responsible and works hard, is a good communicator and team player, and gets excited about growing a Kids Ministry in an environment that will be extremely supportive of you!
Compensation will be very competitive and will also be based upon education, experience, and the interview process. Health insurance will also be offered.
