Principle Function
The Administrative Ministry Assistant is responsible for providing administrative leadership in the areas of church membership and communications. This involves tracking attendance, membership, guest services, ministry team connections, communication media management, and other logistical functions pertinent to serving in this role. The goal of this position is to facilitate ministry to the membership and the community, promoting the importance of faith in Jesus Christ and growing in the practical application of God’s Word for His glory.
Qualifications:
- Profess a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that is exhibited through active church membership in a fellowship of like faith and order.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality due to the sensitive nature of information associated with this role.
- Experience or education as an Administrative Ministry Assistant is preferred.
- Exhibits good typing skills and has a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Publisher, etc.) and desktop publishing. Familiar with Adobe products is a plus.
- Familiarity with social media communications and safe internet use, including website management.
- A learner's disposition/ability to adapt to various requests in pursuing church's vision.
- Ability to multi-task in a Christian church office setting, delegating to volunteers whenever possible and reasonable.
- Excellent organizational skills in order to handle the demands of a growing church and ability to prioritize various parts of the ministry as needed.
- Willingness to promote and live by the staff value system that includes trust, honesty, fun, commitment, accountability, and community.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills as a “face” for the church.

Responsibilities:
- Assist others in maintaining a healthy church office atmosphere that enhances ministry and teamwork in the effort to glorify God
- Serve to enhance communications to members and the community through written, web, signage, and other media (i.e. email, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, website, ads, etc.)
- Gather information and announcements for communication through various ministries
- Send out guest communications, including letter, email, etc., utilizing CDM+/Engage, Constant Contact, etc., including others in the process of connecting with members, attenders, and guests
- Assist Sunday morning Life Groups, and other teachers, etc. with copying and/or producing materials when needed
- Assist Senior Pastor and other staff administratively (i.e. typing, answering telephone, taking messages, scheduling appointments, etc.)
- Produce church bulletins, including inserts, for weekly worship, and when required, for special occasions
- Manage church membership software (CDM+), including membership records, attendance, groups, etc.
- Order office supplies, church materials, etc.
- Schedule maintenance and repair of office equipment as needed (i.e. copiers, etc.)
- Manage all reservations for both Main Campus & North Campus facilities. Make sure agreements for use of facilities are signed, and appropriate insurance coverage is received. (Online reservations serve as the primary channel for requests)
- Maintain reservation calendar for use of Church Vans, including a keys inventory
- Assist Chairman of Deacons in the administration of the Deacon’s Ministry Plan
- Contact a family’s deacon in emergency situations
- Assist pastoral staff in preparing for ministry events hosted or promoted by EBC
- Assist ministry team members with preparation and promotion of events/activities
