Glenola Baptist Church – Pastor Search Committee
Glenola Baptist Church is seeking a highly motivated, dedicated pastor with a heart for ministry and missions to serve as the next spiritual leader of our congregation. This role requires previous associate and/or lead pastoral experience, Christian lifestyle, compassion, organizational skills, and a vision for growth.
Responsibilities: Provide Biblically-founded preaching and teaching during weekend and weekday services and other events that nourish, challenge, and inspire the congregation in their spiritual walks. Offer sound Biblical counseling and spiritual mentorship while establishing and fostering deep connections with church members and visitors. Lead and oversee ministries focused on spiritual formation and discipleship, generosity, and stewardship, community outreach, and attracting new members. Equip and inspire additional pastors/leaders to excel in dedicated areas of ministry such as youth, young families, music, Sunday school, etc.
Develop and implement a strategic vision for the church’s growth, congregational care, community interaction, and mission work. Facilitate conflict mediation and resolution to nurture unity. Conduct special services such as baptisms, child dedications, funerals, and weddings as requested.
Qualifications/Skills:
Full-time vocational ministry, as a senior pastor role preferred but not required.
A degree in seminary or theology is preferred—successful track record of ministry growth and leadership development. Engaging preaching and teaching style combining sound doctrine, practical wisdom, and relational warmth. Passion for ministering to youth, young families, and the next generation. He organized, reliable, honest, prayerful, and faithful shepherd. Our church is praying for a pastor who can lead us into fulfilling God’s purposes for many years to come.
