Next Gen Ministries Director - Cedar Rock FBC (~40 minutes from Southeastern Seminary)

I. PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This job exists to partner with parents to grow disciples of Jesus among the kids and youth of Cedar Rock First Baptist Church.

II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Help establish, enact, and communicate vision for kids and youth ministries, in conversation with pastor and church leaders.
• Provide oversight and direction to Wednesday night kids and youth ministries
• Teach regularly on Wednesday nights.
• Preach at least 2 times per year.
• Help plan quarterly kids and youth outreach events (such as camps, Eggstravaganza, VBS, Fall outreach, and Christmas).
• Oversee approved volunteer database and enforce child-worker policies.
  Meet regularly with pastor, team leaders, and deacons.

III. OTHER DUTIES & REPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the pastor as needed.

IV. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Give oversight to volunteers serving in kids and youth ministries
• Oversee any interns assigned to serve with kids and youth ministries.

VI. FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY

• Provide recommendations for kids and youth budget items.

• Can stand for long periods of time and keep up with kids.

VIII. WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT

• Must attend Sunday worship each week (4 vacation Sundays, communicated in advance)
• Must attend Wednesday gatherings (4 vacation Wednesdays, communicated in advance)
• Must be available for special events outside of those times (such as VBS, Eggstravaganza, etc.)

IX. PAY AND HOURS

• $20,000 per year
• ~20 hours per week
