Position Overview:
Mountain Valley Baptist Church is seeking a dedicated, biblically-grounded, and passionate Pastor to lead our congregation in worship, spiritual growth, and mission. The ideal candidate will be a servant-leader with a deep commitment to the gospel, a heart for shepherding people, and a vision for guiding our church family to live out our faith in transformative ways. This role involves preaching, teaching, pastoral care, and partnering with church leadership to advance our mission of gospel transformation, loving community, and missional living.
Key Responsibilities:
• Preaching and Teaching: Deliver biblically sound, gospel-centered sermons and teachings that inspire, equip, and challenge our congregation to grow in their faith and apply the gospel to everyday life.
• Pastoral Care: Provide compassionate shepherding, counseling, and support to church members, fostering a loving community that reflects the transformative power of the gospel.
• Leadership: Collaborate with church leadership and volunteers to develop and implement strategies that align with our mission of spreading the gospel, building community, and missional outreach.
• Discipleship: Guide and equip believers to deepen their relationship with Christ, encouraging spiritual growth and maturity through teaching, mentorship, and personal engagement.
• Mission Focus: Champion missional living by leading the church in local and global outreach efforts, inspiring members to serve and share the gospel in all areas of life.
