Description

Join the Team at East Pickens Baptist Church!

East Pickens is a well-established Southern Baptist church with a forward-thinking, contemporary ministry mindset. We offer the best of both worlds—deep-rooted stability and a passion for innovation.

Located in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, our church is nestled in Pickens, South Carolina—just 30 minutes from both Greenville and Clemson, and a little over an hour from Asheville, North Carolina. This setting offers a strong sense of community with access to vibrant cities and scenic surroundings.

Each Sunday, we welcome approximately 700 people to our campus, including around 150 children, 5th grade or younger. Our student ministry is thriving, with about 55 youth gathering each Wednesday night. East Pickens is deeply committed to the Great Commission, actively engaging in local, national, and international missions. Sunday nights at East Pickens are devoted to a strong Christ-centered 12-step recovery ministry that is reaching many people. We’ve also launched a 10-year vision to revitalize existing churches or plant new ones in key communities—our first revitalization effort began just last year.

We are currently seeking a passionate pastor to join our dynamic team. You would be the final piece of our "Dream Team"—a collaborative group of five pastors who lead together, support one another, and share in shaping the vision and direction of the church. We value a team culture that prioritizes unity, encouragement, and shared leadership. Ministry silos are not part of our DNA—our pastors lean on one another for wisdom, accountability, and spiritual growth.

East Pickens takes great care of our pastoral staff. We provide:

  • Medical, dental, and life insurance
  • Mileage reimbursement
  • Conference and library allowances
  • A guaranteed two-day weekend (Fridays off)
  • A 40-day paid sabbatical every five years

If you're passionate about gospel-centered ministry, thrive in a team-oriented environment, and feel called to help lead a growing and missional church, we’d love to connect with you.

Message us for more details. We’re excited to see how God might bring us together!
