The Senior Pastor is primarily responsible for providing spiritual leadership by preaching the Bible, overseein all church ministries, offereing pastoral care to members, leaeding the congregation in evagelism and outreach eforts, all while actively guiding the church towards spiritual growth and fulfilling the Great Commision. This typically includes responsibilities like preaching, teachin, pastoral care, leading services, overseeing staff, and actively engaging with the community to reach the lost.
Resposibilities
-Preaching and Teaching
Deliverin biblically sound sermons that challenge and inspire the congreation. Teaching Bible studies and providing sound biblical instruction across various ministries. Preaching will be each Sunday morning with Wednesday as an option.
-Pastoral Care
Visitng sick members, providing support in times of grief, sickness and family challenges. Maintaining contact with the conregation.
-Leadership and Vision
Workin in conjunction with the Trustees, CFO, and Administrator to develop and communicate a clear vision for the church. Oversees all ministiries and staff working to implement strategic plans of growth.
-Evangelism and Outreach
Leading initiatives to reach the unchurched in the community, promote personal evanelism among church members, and participate in community outreach programs.
-Church Administration
Working with the church leaders to manage church finances, oversee facilities, and ensure compliance with church bylaws.
-Sacraments and Ordinances
Doing baptisms, communion, weddings, funerals, baby dedications and other sacrements according to biblical practices.
-Collaboration with Leadership
Providing spiritual guidance within the church.
-Pastoral Heart
A genuine passion for caring for people. Offer compassionate support and biblical insight.
-Communication
The ability to deliver enaing and impactful sermons to children, youth and adults of all ages.
-Leadership
Ability to lead and motivate others, manage teams, and make decisions.
-Education
A Master of Divinity degree from an acredited seminary is preferred.
-Experience
At least 3 years experience as a senior pastor is preferred.
-Hours
Forty hours per week. Twenty will be maintained on a regular basis withtin the church office with hours posted for availability.
