Associate Pastor of Youth & Children

The main focus of the Associate Pastor of Youth & Children position centers around initiating and providing oversight for ministry programs dedicated to the youth and children of the church. He will be expected to design, facilitate, and implement programs and activities that provide youth and children with both opportunities to initiate a relationship with Jesus Christ as well as stimulate continued discipleship and spiritual growth. In addition, he will assist the Senior Pastor with other duties as the needs arise.

General Responsibilities:

1. Be accountable and responsible with the financial resources of Baltimore Baptist Church. Submit, on an annual basis, a budget for the youth and children’s ministries and work within that budget to accomplish goals for that year.
2. Be determined to continue to grow in ministry capacity by attending training conferences, conventions, and pursuing formal ministry education opportunities such as college and seminary.
3. Be educated with regards to the governing documents of Baltimore Baptist Church and operate within those guidelines. (By-Laws, Policy Manual, Personnel Guidelines, etc.)
4. When possible, participate as a church member, in ministries not directly connected with youth and children. (Men’s Ministry, Music, etc.)
5. Be available to attend any staff meetings and participate in discussions concerning the overall ministries of the church.

Personal Responsibilities:

1. As an Associate Pastor he will dedicate himself to meet the standards for pastoral ministry as spelled out in 1 Timothy 3:1-7.
2. He will dedicate himself to constantly growing in his personal walk with the Lord Jesus Christ through consistent private Bible study and prayer.
3. He will demonstrate faithfulness and support for the ministries of Baltimore Baptist Church through consistently contributing financially.
