Hope Church Worship Leader Job Description
The Worship Leader is a full-time position primarily tasked with planning, preparing for, and leading a weekly worship gathering. This position is a pastoral staff position whose primary responsibilities relate to the worship and technical needs of the church. However, this person must have a pastor’s heart for people. Hope Church believes that ministry is about people and not merely about the thing you are assigned to. If people are not the focus, ministry doesn’t happen. There will be times when he is called upon to do tasks unrelated to worship and tech. We have a small staff and a growing church. Each staff member must be willing to help wherever they are needed.

- Ensure that the stage set-up, lighting, sound system, video systems, and worship presentation software are working properly and ready for the service.
- Build the worship presentation for each week’s service. We use propresenter. This includes announcement graphics, countdown videos, sermon bumpers/graphics, and song slides.

- Recruit and/or develop new musicians, singers, and tech team members
- Engage in the body of the church as an active member by being at the meetings and fellowships of the church, by joining a small group, by seeking to make connections with members beyond the worship stage, and by supporting the vision and mission of Hope Church
