Moore's Chapel Baptist Church is a vibrant, growing congregaition located in Graham, NC located beside the small town of Saxapahaw, NC. We believe the Bible to be the true word of God and we believe in the resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Over the past year, we have begun a transformation to making God our sole focus and gaining an understanding that it is our purpose to be the hands and feet of Jesus while going out and telling the word of God. We are looking for a man of God to continue leading us on this path and helping to grow spiritual leaders from our church family.
Pastor Profile
The ideal candidate will be a senior pastor who will serve as a preacher, teacher, shepherd, overseer, servant, and steward of Christ’s church and its members. They should have a strong biblical foundation, excellent communication skills, and a heart for ministry. The pastor will be responsible for providing spiritual leadership, preaching, teaching, and overseeing the overall operations of the church.

The community is growning with a diverse population and a vibrant culture. The church is located across from a local elementery school that we are very active in serving and presenting a prime opportunity for ministry outreach.
Qualifications
- Possess the Biblical qualities described in 1 Timothy 3:2-7
- Believe and adhere to the statements of faith in the Baptist Faith and Message 2000
- Minimum of 5 years of successful pastoral experience
- Strong biblical knowledge and preaching skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- A passion for ministry and a heart for people
THE PASTOR’S RESPONSIBILITY TO THE CHURCH
- To proclaim the gospel with the goal of reaching persons and making disciples for Christ and fostering biblical, emotional, social and spiritual growth.
- To love individuals and families within the fellowship without bias or prejudice.
- To provide counseling to members and nonmembers and to keep this communication confidential.
- To serve as administrator of church programs and ministries by facilitating communication and recommending appropriate ministries/programs to the appropriate persons.
- To work with committees, teams, organizations and groups in the development and implementation of programs of ministry and mission. Chairpersons of committees, organizations and boards are to have the responsibility of their offices with the counsel of the pastor as desired or needed. All committees, organizations, and groups are ultimately responsible to the church, from which their authority is derived and their responsibilities are defined.
- To be ex officio member of all committees including the personnel committee and the deacon fellowship. The pastor shall, as a member of said committees, offer expertise and advice but shall not be entitled to vote.
- To give primary oversight and direct the church office, supervising other paid church staff, overseeing that the church calendar is maintained, representing the church to visitors and other persons who might come in contact with the church, advising other church members of information they need to carry out their duties as church officers, and serving in other reasonable activities relative to the church office.
- To establish and announce church office hours. Generally, seek to maintain those office hours for the benefit of all church members and the related business of the church; in times of absence, the church secretary should be informed as to how to contact the pastor.
- To visit the sick, the elderly and the bereaved and to maintain contact with the membership as a whole.
- To be an encouragement to persons, programs and ministries of the church family.
- To be actively involved in and supportive of the local Baptist association, the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina and the Southern Baptist Convention in its life and work
