Fairview Baptist Church (Hillsborough, NC) is prayerfully seeking a part-time Pastor. The Pastor shall serve as the chief under-shepherd and overseer of this local church, feeding, leading, and nurturing the sheep. This person’s main responsibilities will be to communicate God’s Word through preaching/teaching, minister to spiritual needs, and provide biblical leadership for the church. He will minister to the congregation through visitation, encouragement, bereavement, and counsel when appropriate
The Pastor will equip the church members for the work of the church. In doing so he will work with church teams to develop and encourage programs of ministry and mission. Additionally, he will oversee the administrative duties of the Church and assist other staff and volunteers whenever necessary. The Pastor will represent the church to visitors, the community and any other persons who might come in contact with the church.
The Fairview congregation prefers the candidate to have at least some Bible College training with a degree, prior pastoral experience, someone who is a Bible teacher, visionary leader, and counselor. The congregation also would like to have someone focused on our Children’s Ministry and is community minded.
In addition to these responsibilities, the Pastor will uphold the moral and professional qualifications stated in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-7; maintain a close walk with God personally so that he can minister effectively to our congregation and in our community; and fully pray for, honor, and support the Mission, the Constitution and Bylaws of Fairview Baptist Church.
