Job Summary

The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of worship services and church events at The Church at Clayton Crossings. This individual will work closely with the Worship Leader to create seamless, high-quality worship experiences that remove every barrier except the gospel itself. The Production Lead will manage and develop a team of volunteers while ensuring excellence in all technical elements of our services.

Core Responsibilities

Technical Excellence and Leadership

  • Lead and develop a team of volunteer technicians across audio, video, lighting, and streaming platforms
  • Ensure all technical elements of worship services are executed with excellence and attention to detail
  • Oversee setup, operation, and breakdown of all production equipment for services and events
  • Maintain and troubleshoot all audio, video, lighting, and streaming equipment
  • Collaborate with the Worship Leader to create cohesive and meaningful worship experiences

Team Development and Discipleship

  • Recruit, train, and schedule volunteer production team members
  • Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and spiritual growth within the production ministry
  • Provide regular feedback, encouragement, and growth opportunities for team members
  • Organize training sessions that are productive, focused, and spiritually enriching
  • Develop leaders within the production team, modeling our commitment to discipleship through relationships

Strategic Planning and Innovation

  • Work with the Worship Leader to plan and coordinate technical needs for weekly services
  • Research and recommend new technologies and equipment upgrades
  • Develop systems and workflows that support our vision of Making Disciples that Multiply Churches
  • Ensure online streaming and digital engagement effectively reach people beyond our physical location

Administrative and Operational Excellence

  • Work with the Worship Leader to manage production ministry budget effectively and responsibly
  • Maintain inventory of all equipment and supplies
  • Coordinate with other ministry leaders to support church-wide events and initiatives
  • Document processes and create training materials for volunteer development
  • Stay current with trends and best practices in church production technology

Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • A clear and mature Christian faith with commitment to the mission and values of The Church at Clayton Crossings
  • Demonstrated experience in technical production, preferably in a church or live event setting
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience developing and managing volunteer teams
  • Proficiency in audio engineering, video production, lighting design, and live streaming technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with contemporary worship production and understanding of worship flow
  • Knowledge of digital mixing consoles, video switching, lighting control systems, and streaming platforms
  • Background in training and developing technical volunteers
  • Associate's degree in audio/video production, technical theater, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Familiarity with copyright and licensing requirements for worship services
