Youth Leader Elizabethtown Baptist Church

Elizabethtown Baptist Church, located in the county seat of Bladen County North Carolina, is prayerfully seeking to call the next youth leader of our church. Elizabethtown Baptist Church is a diverse church with a 122-year-old history of worship and ministry. Our church supports the Bladen Baptist Association, Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of NC, Baptist State Convention and male and female leadership within the church.

We are looking to hire an exemplary Youth Leader who will provide visionary oversight and pastoral leadership to the youth and children of Elizabethtown Baptist Church and the surrounding community. The Youth Leader will partner with parents, pastoral staff and lay leaders in discipling to youth/children as they develop their faith. This candidate will be successful by being present in their lives both in church and out. He or she will work to provide a place where students feel they belong, believe in the bible and become lifelong disciples of Christ.

The Youth Leader candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Hold or be in the process of obtaining a degree in theological studies and/or youth ministry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills accompanied by a positive attitude with youth and children in the church
• Good computer and creativity skills in designing new and entertaining ways for students to learn about life in Christ and Christian values
• Ability to deal with and relate to young people by earning their respect and trust
• Have experience in youth ministry or related field
• Evident relationship and belief in God and the church
• Is teachable and open to feedback
• Ability to "think outside of the box" when it comes to growing children and youth in their walk with Christ
