Salemburg Baptist Church, Salemburg, NC seeks a fulltime pastor to lead our church into a new chapter in our long church history. We are a historically Southern Baptist congregation committed to Baptist doctrine as stated in the 1963 Baptist Statement of Faith. We are focused on the inspirational worship of God and applying the Bible to all areas of life. Our congregation is community oriented and mission minded. We desire a pastor who is a gifted teacher that enables people to learn and understand deep spiritual truths, who has a personal vision and well-developed vision for the future of the church, has a strong calling to pastoral care, and who is an effective communicator.
We are a church with a strong lay leadership and affirm both men and women for roles in lay ministry and leadership. The successful candidate would preferably hold a degree from an accredited seminary or divinity school and possess some years of experience in congregational ministry. However, a successful candidate must be a regular ordained Southern Baptist Minister (Southern Baptist Convention or Cooperative Baptist Fellowship) in good standing and who fully adheres to the 1963 Baptist Statement of Faith.
