Discipleship Pastor

 

Leading people to connect deeply with one another through Life Group and serving opportunities that utilize their spiritual gifts, thus allowing them the opportunity to experience exponential spiritual growth.

 

Roles: 

  • Implement strategy to recruit, train, place, support and monitor Life Group leaders
  • Conduct Life Group Leader meetings and training.
  • Responsible for the growth of Life Group ministry, ensuring the fulfillment of the goals and objectives of Grace Community Church’s strategic plan.
  • Research, implement and at times, design and write curriculum used by group leaders.
  • Develop ongoing leadership training, development opportunities and provide oversight leadership for all Life Group Leaders.
  • Develop and implement processes to identify, record and celebrate Life Group stories of life changes to share with the church.
  • Respond to the Life Groups and members in a manner that authenticates our role as servant leaders in the community and at Grace Community Church.
  • Serve as support staff for weekend services. 
  • Strategically plan, organize, communicate all domestic and international  discipleship trips.
  • Maintain an open line of communication that is prompt and accurate for all parties that are involved with the particular trip at hand.
  • Hold periodic meetings with all parties involved to ensure everyone is up-to-date on all information surrounding the trip at hand.
  • Manage all paperwork that is turned in by individuals going on trips.
  • Book all travel arrangements including, but not limited to flights, automobiles, hotels, etc.
  • Take part in every domestic and international trip that requires travel by flight at least one time in order to gain a better understanding of the trips that will require coordination. 

 

Requirements 

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equal work experience, advanced Biblical training, or experience in counseling a plus 
  • Growing, yet mature follower of Christ called to ministry
  • Humble yet confident
  • Compassionate heart for the hurting and lost
  • Team-oriented visionary leader with direct people management experience 
  • Strategic thinker who can mobilize and direct large groups of people to reach a common goal 
  • Ability to attract and lead other highly motivated leaders 
  • Outstanding communication, organizational and interpersonal skills 
  • Commitment to and passion for excellence 
  • Works well in fast-paced environment and has natural ability to relate well to people 
  • Capable of seeing the big picture, yet discussing the details 
  • Team builder and team player 
  • Pastor preferred
Salary54,000.00 - 60,000.00 Annual
