• Platform Leadership: Lead congregational singing with a strong, engaging presence, whether from an instrument (piano/guitar) or as a vocal leader.

2. Choral & Ensemble Direction

• Adult Choir: Direct the Adult Choir, overseeing weekly rehearsals (currently Wednesday at 7:00 PM). Focus on vocal technique, part-learning, and spiritual preparation.

• Contemporary Team: Recruit, audition, and rehearse a praise team or band (vocalists and instrumentalists) to lead contemporary elements of the service.

• Special Music: Coordinate soloists, ensembles, or seasonal programs (Christmas/Easter) to enhance the

worship experience.

3. Administrative & Technical Oversight

• Long-Range Planning: Per Renewing Worship standards, maintain a 6–8 week planning horizon for choral music to ensure excellence and confidence in the choir.

• Media Coordination: Work with the media/tech team to ensure lyrics, backgrounds, and live-stream audio are prepared and synchronized with the musical selections.

• Music Library: Maintain the church’s music library and ensure compliance with CCLI and otherlicensing requirements.

4. Discipleship & Care

• Ministry of Presence: Shepherd the members of the music ministry, beginning rehearsals with prayer and short devotionals to connect the lyrics to Biblical truth.

• Recruitment: Actively seek out and develop musical talent within the congregation, including youth and children, to ensure the future of the music ministry.

Qualifications & Skills

• Spiritual Maturity: A committed follower of Jesus Christ whose life reflects the values of Braggtown Baptist.

• Musical Versatility: Proficiency in directing a traditional choir (reading choral scores, conducting) and leading a contemporary band (understanding chord charts and modern arrangements).

• Education/Experience: Degree in Music, Worship Arts, or a related field (or equivalent experience in a local church setting) is preferred.

• Collaborative Spirit: A "team player" who can work closely with the Senior Pastor and other staff to achieve a unified vision for worship.

• Sunday Services: 4 hours (Sound check, rehearsal, and service).

• Wednesday Rehearsals: 3 hours (Prep and Choir rehearsal).

• Planning & Prep: 5–7 hours (Music selection, coordinating with Pastor, administrative tasks).

• Personal Practice/Development: 3–6 hours (Practicing music, discipleship/meetings).
